Mercer County Civil War Roundtable

Rescheduled--The Battle at New Market, VA

On Tuesday, March 9, 2010, the Mercer County Historical Society presents a discussion on the Battle of New Market, Virginia during the Civil War.  This program was originally scheduled for the February roundtable, but postponed due to inclement weather. James Carnes will lead the discussion.  The doors open at 6:30 PM; the program starts at 7:00, and should end around 9:00.  Please join us.

The Civil War Discussion Group is part of the Historical Society’s ongoing efforts to provide programming related to local history.  The roundtable meets on the second Tuesday of each month from September through May.  Participation in the discussion group is open to the public and is free.  The Historical Society’s headquarters is at 119 South Pitt Street, Mercer.
