Library Resources
The Mercer County Historical Society's Research Library is located in
the Anderson House Building, 119 South Pitt Street, Mercer, PA, 16137. It is open to the
public Tuesday through Friday, 10 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 3 PM. It is closed
Sundays, Mondays and holidays.
The Research Library's resources include numerous collections, guides, abstractions
and records gathered together for those interested in Mercer County history. Many
resources have genealogical applications and other collections relate to the Civil War,
Dr. John Goodsell's North Pole experiences and other areas related to local history
research. Listed below is a sampling of some of the materials in the library:

There is no fee for on-site research. Paid photocopy services are available.
Mailed Inquires: Mail inquiries are $15.00 per surname, per inquiry.
No E-mail requests for research will be accepted. Please indicate what information you
seek and provide adequate background information for our staff. Research inquiries are
served on a first-come-first-served basis.
